Donate financially:
Your monetary contributions are the most effective way to assist us in helping those in need. It allows us to make as-needed purchases from the North Texas Food Bank at cost, which is below retail. When items are not available or there is a shortage of particular food from this source, your financial contribution allows us to make retail purchases from local vendors as needed. - Canned meat (chicken,tuna,salmon etc…)
- Canned Vegetables (green beans, corn, beans, sweet potatoes,etc...)
- Pasta with meat sauce (Ravioli, Spaghetti and Meatballs, etc…)
- Cereal
- Oatmeal
- Saltine Crackers
- Boxed Potatoes (mashed)
- Small jars of peanut butter (12-18 oz )
- Rice (preferably 2 lb bags)
- Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
- Fruit (canned or cups)
- Soups (non-spicy 10-12 oz cans)
- Tomato sauce

The DeSoto Food Pantry is a 501 (c) (3) that serves over 400 food insecure families in our community every month. Envisioned as a community effort to address food insecurity in our area, we rely on donations from neighbors and other community organizations to be able to meet the need.
It takes some 15000 items of food every month to meet the needs of our neighbors and friends.
